Download the newest e107 website system to upload & unpack it to your webserver's main file directory. - Files can be uploaded through ftp connection with FileZilla. - After upload use FileZilla to change file permissions for file "e107_config.php" + all directories and their subdirectories to 777 except e107_admin directory. (If files were unpacked on server, it might be impossible to change permissions, so use FileZilla instead to upload them all.)
Download the full tiny_mce wysiwyg-editor. - Download also the file "tiny_mce_gzip.php" (compressed package of tinyMCE). - Then upload the directory tiny_mce into the e107_handlers directory on your webserver. - In the e107_handlers/tiny_mce directory upload also the file "tiny_mce_gzip.php" and find the file "wysiwyg.php": Replace it either with this file (works with tinyMCE stable ver. 2) or edit it to custom select plugins for the editor.
Download eCaptcha if you want anonymous comments enabled on your website. It protects against spam. - Only upload the plugin directory into directory e107_plugins, so it appears among plugins in the e107 admin control panel. - Change also file permissions for this plugin directory to 777.
Download the MySQL Commander for backup of your website database. Very nessecary tool when moving website to another server. And also to backup database. - Upload it to the main directory and access it through mysqlcommander/index.php. - Change also file permissions for this its directories to 777.

Install e107. - If installation result in error, it could be a corrupt file. Do the whole process with download, upload (, unpacking) and file-permission adjustments again. - When e107 is installed, go into admin panel, file inspector and run a test. You can also check other moduls in the admin panel to test functions. - Finally go into filemanager to delete install.php script, to change filepermissions for e107_config.php to 644 and to rename "filetypes_.php" to "filetypes.php" in e107_admin directory.
Setup e107 according to your plans. - U need to go through all options & preferences to setup things, that could have been default: Turn cache and gzip on to speed up communication, enable WYSIWYG on all editor boxes, allow comments, remove the need of membership to post... - To get the special features: comments & webstatistics, install the plugin webstatistics and enable use of comments in preferences and custom pages. - U can always get free icons to your menus by searching through google pictures: Download, scale it 16x16 and upload it to your e107_images/icons/directory. - Change Logo & Banners the same way.
Build your website. - When u are absolutely finish with your site building and want to publish it, submit it to search engines: You can get a free domain at uni.cc (dns) or co.nr, so if you move to another host, your domain name remains the same.
Optimize your search-engine ranking. - When u have submitted your site to google and it has been online for several months: use Google's webmaster tools. Get an account and look through google statistics of page-rankings with search inquiries relevant to your site.
